Helpdesk Consultants are expected to make all computer deliveries promptly. Helpdesk Consultants should make the delivery during the first 30-minute shift when there are two HDCs on duty. Deliveries may also be scheduled on the "IT Deliveries/Pickups" Google Calendar (if determined necessary for HDCs).
To help eliminate any debate over which Helpdesk Consultant makes the delivery, we will use a calendar of white weeks and gray weeks.
All Helpdesk Consultant shifts that have two HDCs on duty at a time have one name on the shift schedule in a white column, and one name on the shift schedule in a gray column.
On a white week, the HDC in the white column will make the delivery.
On a gray week, the HDC in the gray column will make the delivery.
This random determination of who will make the requested computer deliveries should make the process as fair as possible to all Helpdesk Consultants. It also has the advantage of letting all HDCs know ahead of time what shifts they may be requested to do deliveries in, and which shifts they will not.
