When you arrive in the ResNet Office for your shift:

  1. Wipe any common touchable surfaces down before use. This includes the ResNet phone, computer keyboards and mice, desk surface, and chair arms.
  2. Log into the ResNet Office computers (Mac and Windows).
  3. Clock into ResNet Consultant's TimeClock (https://apps.saintmarys.edu/rcctime).
  4. Sign into your Saint Mary's e-mail (Google G Suite for Education).
  5. Log into the ResNet Problem Report Forms (Fixit).
  6. Review the status of any computers/devices being worked on in the ResNet Office with the previous RCC on duty before she leaves.
  7. Make sure the previous RCC on duty has updated all of the ResNet Problem Report Forms for the students currently being assisted in the ResNet Office.
  8. Record all contacts in the ResNet Office (walk-ins, phone calls, e-mails) into the tracking system during your shift!
  9. RCCs should check the ResNet Problem Report Forms daily and review the issues that students are reporting. RCCs should be prepared to help any student that has been invited into the ResNet Office for assistance.
  10. Assist students in the ResNet Office with the computers/devices that need assistance (and updating the ResNet Problem Report Forms with your progress). Work on homework or other quiet activities if there are no new issues to work on. Be attentive of your surroundings, and immeditely assist any appointments/walk-ins and answer phone calls and e-mails.
  11. Remember that any requests made by Information Technology staff (assisting them with troubleshooting or other tasks that do not take you away from the ResNet Office) have priority over other items keeping you occupied at the ResNet Office that are not work-related (including your homework and computer games).
  12. Don't forget to clock out of ResNet Consultant's TimeClock when your shift ends (https://apps.saintmarys.edu/rcctime).
  13. If you have the last shift of the day, please sign out of the Helpdesk computers. Do not shut them down.
