Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Upgrade - in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions - is available for purchase through the Microsoft Campus Agreement.

    Saint Mary's Students may purchase only one copy of each software title through the Microsoft Campus Agreement program. A student who purchased Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Upgrade (32-bit) may not also purchase Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Upgrade (64-bit) - they are the same software title.

    Saint Mary's Students are responsible for checking their computer to make sure it is compatible with the software they purchase through the Microsoft Campus Agreement. Students are expected to confirm the compatibility of their own computers before purchasing the Microsoft software. No refunds, returns, or exchanges are available for Microsoft Campus Agreement purchases.

    Students wishing to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Upgrade should also refer to their computer's documentation or manufacturer's website to confirm compatibility and the availability of drivers for their computer model.

    Saint Mary's Students who purchase the wrong version of Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Upgrade for their computer may not exchange the software or return it for a refund. All Microsoft Campus Agreement sales are final.

    Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Upgrade (32-bit) can be installed on computers that are 32-bit capable and 64-bit capable. Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Upgrade (64-bit) can only be installed on computers that are 64-bit capable, and cannot be installed on computers that are only 32-bit capable.

    The software requirements for Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Upgrade are listed below, and students should also refer to their computer's documentation or manufacturer's website to confirm compatibility.

    Identifying that your Windows 7 computer can run a 64-bit version of Windows:

    1. Click on the Start button.
    2. Select Control Panel.
    3. In the search box, type Performance Information and Tools.
    4. In the list of results, click "Performance Information and Tools."
    5. Click "View and print detailed performance and system information."
    6. In the System section, you can see what type of operating system your computer is currently running under System type, and whether or not you can run a 64-bit version of Windows under 64-bit capable. (If your computer is already running a 64-bit version of Windows, you won't see the 64-bit capable listing.)
