Windows Connection Information

Instructions for connecting your Windows computer to ResNet
will be available beginning Thursday, August 22, 2024.

Instructions will be provided to all incoming students in the "Purple Packet." ResNet's Purple Packets will be distributed to incoming students when they move into their residence halls. Instructions will also be posted on this web site.

Students are encouraged to set up their own computers once they arrive on campus, and the majority of our students are able to easily install the software and connect their personal computers to the Saint Mary's College network with the instructions provided. ResNet Computer Consultants (RCCs) are available to provide troubleshooting assistance to students when necessary.

In order to work on ResNet, your Windows computer must meet certain minimum specifications. Any Windows computer meeting those specifications can be configured for ResNet access.

All software applications required to connect to the campus network and Internet, to access Saint Mary's e-mail, and protect your personal computer from malicious software are provided at no cost to our students.

Please do not attempt to configure your computer for network connectivity before you arrive on campus and receive the instructions for connecting to ResNet. Also, please take care in following the instructions provided for connecting to ensure that you do not encounter networking problems during the academic year.
