Saint Mary’s Finishes Fifth at MIAA Cross Country Championships;
Gray, Otto Earn All League Honors

ALMA, MI -- Megan Gray posted the best individual finish ever by a Saint Mary’s runner at the MIAA championships by finishing sixth overall with a time of 23:44 over the 6K course in helping the Belles to a fifth place team finish hosted by Alma College.
Since the Belles officially joined the league during the 1998 season, no Saint Mary’s harrier ever finished in the top 10 until Gray (New Carlisle, IN/New Prairie HS) accomplished the feat this afternoon. For her efforts Gray earned first-team MIAA honors.
In addition, Sara Otto ( Grandville, MI,/Grandville HS) earned second-team MIAA accolades as she finished the race in 14 th overall with a mark of 25:11. Gray and Otto are just the second and third Belle runners ever to earn MIAA honors.
