Megan Gray Qualifies for NCAA National Championships;
Saint Mary’s Finishes 20 th at NCAA Regionals

HANOVER, IN -- Megan Gray ran a time of 22:52 to finish in 10 th place in the 6K race at the 2006 NCAA Great Lakes Regional Cross Country Championships at Hanover College on Saturday afternoon.
Gray’s (New Carlisle, IN/New Prairie HS) overall finish at the regional event was good enough to qualify her for the NCAA National Championships next weekend at Voice of America Park in West Chester, OH. She is the first Saint Mary’s harrier to earn an automatic invitation to the national event.
As a team the Belles finished 20th in the 31 team and 222 runner field as they tallied 524 points. Case Western won the title with 53 points while Katie Wieferich took top individual honors with a time of 22:07.
