Saint Mary's Holds Down Goshen in Sweep

GOSHEN, IN – Saint Mary’s took a pair of games from Goshen, 9-0 and 8-0, Thursday afternoon in non-conference softball action.

The wins lift the Belles record to 16-6 while Goshen falls to 5-18.

In game one, Ashley Fusaro went 2-for-3 with two RBI’s and a run scored. Laura Heline also produced a 2-for-3 effort with two runs scored and two RBI’s to pace the offensive attack for Belles. On the mound Calli Davison struck out four and tossed a two-hitter in the five-inning contest.

In the nightcap, Kristin Amram threw a one-hitter and struck out seven in another five-inning contest. At the plate Davison hit her first homerun of the season with a three-run shot in the fourth to help the Belles offensive effort. Sarah Miesle went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI.
