Saint Mary's Splits a Pair

FT. MYERS – The Saint Mary’s softball team dropped a 3-2 decision to Illinois College before rebounding to beat Blackburn 8-4 on Wednesday.
The Belles record now stands at 7-1.
In the opening game against Illinois, Maureen Healy went 3-for-4 at the plate while Katie Rashid scored two runs for the Belles offense. Kristin Amram struck out eight and only gave up three hits but walked six batters and hit another one as Saint Mary’s also committed three errors in their first loss of the season.
During the final game of the day, the Belles pounded out a 12 hits in the victory over Blackburn. Leading the way was Ashley Fusaro who went 2-for-4 with two homeruns and three RBI’s. Ashley Peterson went 2-for-4 with a homerun.
Calli Davison improved to 4-0 on the season with a seven strikeouts.
