Head Coach

Ryan Dombkowski takes over the program from LynnKachmarik who served as the interim head coach this past season. Previously Dombkowski served as the head coach at nearby Clay High School during the 2001-2002 season.

While attaining his Bachelor’s Degree at Wabash College, he was a four-year letter winner for the Little Giants swim team. Dombkowski graduated from the Crawfordsville, IN school in 2000 Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Chemistry and Psychology.

The native of Michigan City, IN will receive his Ph.D. in Biology in May from Notre Dame. Currently he is an assistant professor of Biology at Saint Mary’s and will continue in that capacity while coaching. He married the former Alicia Lesneskie in 2002.

The Belles return 10 swimmers next season after finishing in seventh place at the MIAA championships the second week of February. He is the school’s fourth head coach since Saint Mary’s joined the MIAA during the 1997-98 season.
