BEREA, OH -- The Saint Mary's volleyball team posted a runner-up finish at the Maria French Memorial Tournament hosted by Baldwin-Wallace College.

The Belles completed play in their pool with a 3-0 (30-19, 30-23, 30-20) win over John Carroll early Saturday afternoon to earn the right to play for the tournament championship. Saint Mary's won all three matches in their respective pool against Lake Erie, Case Western Reserve and John Carroll.

In the championship match against the host Yellow Jackets, the Belles drop a 3-1 decision (30-27, 16-30, 30-19, 30-28) in claiming a second-place finish.

For their efforts in the two-day, eight-team event both Amanda David and Kristen Playko were named to the all-tournament team.
