Belles Continue Solid Start with Sweep of Albion

ALBION, MI -- With strong play both in the front and back rows, Saint Mary's cruised to a 3-0 (30-14, 30-20, 30-14) victory over Albion Wednesday evening in MIAA volleyball action.

The win lifts the Belles record to 9-2 overall and 2-1 in league play while Albion falls to 2-6 and 1-4 respectively.

Kristen Playko recorded her ninth double-double of the season with a 10-kill, 17-dig performance. Lorna Slupczynski also tallied 10 kills in the win.

Anne Cusack posted 29 digs to lead the back row effort for the Belles. Marisa Gross dug up 10 balls to round out the double figure dig producers for Saint Mary's.
