ANGOLA -- The Saint Mary's volleyball squad opened the 2006 season by claiming the Thunder Invitational hosted by Tri-State.

The Belles were the only squad in the five-team tournament to post a victory in all four of their matches in taking the invitational crown.

After beating Albion and Tri-State on Friday evening, Saint Mary's knocked off Goshen on Saturday morning 3-1 (27-30, 30-12, 30-19, 30-14) before coming back in the afternoon and beating Huntington by another 3-1 count (32-30, 30-20, 17-30, 30-26).
