Calvin Stays Unbeaten, Beats Saint Mary's 1-0 Box Score Jill Chapel scored the lone goal of the game with a blast from 18-yards out to give Calvin a 1-0 win over Saint Mary’s in MIAA soccer action. The win lifts the fourth ranked Knights to 16-0 overall and 7-0 in league play while the Belles fall to 4-8-1 and 3-3-1 respectively. Calvin, facing a bunker-style defense from Saint Mary’s all game, managed to get off 20 shots and take 13 corner kicks. Seven of the Knights shot were directly on goal. Saint Mary’s didn’t record a shot or corner kick during the contest. Laura Heline made six saves for the Belles. |
