Belles Deliver Record Setting Sweep of Goshen

Saint Mary’s took a pair of game from Goshen, 10-1 and 6-1, Wednesday afternoon in non-conference softball action.
The wins lift the Belles record to 25-11 which ties the school mark for most wins in the season that was set in 1984. Goshen falls to 2-24.
In game one, Audrey Gajor went 2-for-3 with two RBI’s and two runs scored to help pace the offensive attack. Martha Smid went 2-for-4 with three runs scored to aid in the Belles victory. Bridget Grall struck out four while giving up three hits to up her record to 9-7 in the five-inning victory.
In the nightcap, Kristin Amram struck out a school record 16 batters while giving up two hits as she improved to 14-2. Smid set the offensive tone again with a 3-for-3 effort at the plate while driving in two and scoring twice. Gajor tallied a 3-for-3 effort with two RBI’s in the win.
