Belles Slid By Tri-State, 3-1

               Saint Mary’s got a double-double from three different players in knocking off Tri-State 3-1 (30-26, 26-30, 30-18, 30-28) Tuesday evening in MIAA volleyball action at the Angela Athletic Center. 
               
               The Belles up their record to 11-3 overall and 4-2 in conference play as Tri-State falls to 6-11 and 2-4 respectively. 
               
               Kristen Playko had a match high 19 kills to go along with her 26 digs in pacing the Belles efforts. Lorna Slupczynski also tallied a double-double with 15 kills and 19 kills. Saint Mary’s setter Amanda David dished out 57 assists while digging up 20 balls. 
               
               Kaela Hellman recorded 15 kills and a .412 hitting percentage while Cathy Kurczak notched 13 kills and a .355 attack percentage in the victory. Anne Cusack produced 28 digs out of the Libero postion. 
               
               For the Thunder Melissa Blake had a team high 16 kills while Emily Veddar rounded out the double digit kill producer for Tri-State with 10. Erica Bednarski had a team best 24 digs.
