Minor in Studio Art (24 credit hours)
The studio art minor is designed for the talented student in consultation with an art faculty advisor, and includes the following requirements:
Drawing I or II (ART 101 or ART 102)
2D or 3D Design (ART 103 or ART 104)
Art History Survey I or II (ART 241 or ART 242) or
Italian Art History I or II taken in Rome (ART 251RM or 252RM)
5 additional studio courses
Maintain a 3.0 average in the department
Three satisfactory Portfolio Reviews
Minor in Art History (18 credit hours)
The Department of Art also offers a minor in art history. It requires each of the following courses for completion:
Art History Survey I and II (ART 241 and ART 242) or
Italian Art History I and II taken in Rome (ART 251RM and 252RM)
4 additional art history courses
Minor in Art History for Studio Art Majors (21-24 credit hours)
Studio art majors may also select a minor in art history. The following requirements are in addition to requirements for the BA and BFA degrees:
For BA majors:
Art History Survey I and II (ART 241 and ART 242)
5 additional art history courses
For BFA majors:
Art History Survey I and II (ART 241 and ART 242)
6 additional art history courses
